Guhng is a Korean BBQ place hidden on one of the charming laneways in Melbourne, McKillop St. The restaurant it's decorated with classy interior and dim romantic lighting. It has a traditional vibe as well as a modern charm.

It's that time of the month again, yes it's another Food Social event. This time it's Global Feast K for Korea and it's suiting to celebrate it in one of the most popular Korean BBQ restaurant in Melbourne. The restaurant it self have 4 storeys with different seating arrangements, suitable for small group, big group or even functions. The event was held on their top levels, the only downside is it might be hard for pregnant lady or family with babies but besides that loving the area with it's own open bar.

Sharing Appetizers; Vegie Japchae, Seafood Ddeokbokki, Kimchi Jeon and LA Gal-Bi. The japchae and LA Galbi was really nice as well as the rest of the appetisers but the Kimchi Jeon and Seafood ddeokbokki was a little bit spicier than I would like them to be. The other problem is the phase was slower than expected.

Charcoal BBQ; Angus Cube Roll, Bulgogi and Pork Belly. This is the part where everybody got excited, the charcoal is located in the middle of the room and the staff professionally grilled all the meat in front of us. My favourite was the pork belly, crunchy, tasty but not to oily.

Dessert; Korean Traditional Ginger Bread with Plum Tea and black sesame ice cream. This dish is very special cause it was not served on a regular menu and specially made by their pastry chef for this event. We all enjoyed it so much, not to sweet with dense yet enjoyable texture.

Another fun and vibrant event by Food Social with games and trivia. For more info on their next event and global feast check out their website as soon as possible and book your tickets now.
