Fatto located on the river terrace over looking the iconic Yarra river. Walking distance from South Gate and Melbourne finest arts precinct. Serving warm Italian classics with the freshest ingredients and modern interpretations.

I had a meeting with one of my friend and had wondering around South Gate for a snack and she recommended Fatto, since I never been there I gladly agreed. The restaurant was spacey and large, charming and bright. Perfect for functions or even an afternoon coffee in a private and calm place.

My friend opted for a Bruschetta - fresh tomato, mozarella ($13). It was quite tasty but sadly nothing really special about this dish.

I my self start with a decent cup of coffee and Wagyu Beef Carpaccio - wagyu beef, truffle pesto, shallots, comichons, egg yolk ($21). I love my wagyu carpaccio so much that I want more, thinly sliced and wonderfully seasoned.

Tiramisu - peanut butter mascarpone, sponge fingers, salted caramel, chocolate ($16). The tiramisu was a big miss and tiramisu is one of my favourite dessert, so I clearly was disappointed. the peanut butter was okay but the granita coffee on top just too bitter and does not anything to the dish. I prefer the traditional tiramisu

Overall, it was a time well spent. I stayed there for more than two hours and enjoyed the view and the interior very much. It's a great place for tea time or after work drinks.
