Bakmi Kitchen opened in 2015 at Doncaster East, they specialised in Mie Keriting Siantar "Curly Noodle" an authentic Indonesian noodle restaurant. They pride them self in producing the noodle daily with no preservatives to maintain the freshness and texture quality of the product. These noodle was 1st introduce by Hokkien noodle master at Pematang Siantar, North Sumatra (Indonesia) in the 50's soon become popular and known for it's "springy taste".

I'm a big fan of noodle, especially curly noodle and in Melbourne, it's pretty rare to find a good Indonesia noodle. On a Saturday morning I got an appointment at Doncaster, I purposely come earlier just to try the noodle first.

Bakmie Keriting Siantar "Original Siantar Curly Noodles with pork" - homemade egg noodles serves with vegetables, soya egg, minced pork, BBQ pork and soup. Too be honest the flavour was good but not as good as I expect it to be but I have to say the noodle texture was really good. They also provide fried pork oil as a garnish, that provide an extra point.

The service was really fast but typical Asian restaurant but overall it's pretty good to satisfy my Indonesian noodle cravings while I'm in Melbourne but still can't defeat the real Indonesian noodle at my home town.
