Wonderbao

Wonderbao begins with a kid growing up alongside his father making buns and have dreamed about opening his own place for a long time. When they moved to Australia, they miss their home town food from time to time. Wonderbao offers a range of steamed buns from traditional to creative innovation Gua Bao. All their buns are hand made and prepared fresh.

I'm a big fan of Wonderbao since it's first open, have been there numerous times and never disappoints. All of my family member also feels the same. It's a treat when we are able to visit Wonderbao in the morning and get all of our favourite flavours.

Da Pork Bao ($3.5) - egg, shiitake mushroom and chinese sausage ($4). This is one of the best combination bao ever, the egg mixed in with the flavourful mushroom and tasty sausages covered with fluffy white bun.

Roast Pork Belly - pickled mustard, coriander, crushed peanuts ($4.9). The pork belly has a crunchy skin with a tender pork belly, generous sauce and again well made bun. Love it.

Nai Wong Bao ($2.5) - egg custard & Taro Bao ($2.5). Both of this is my favourite, I love sweet buns. There's always something charming about it. Egg custard is a classic flavour that works every time but taro is not bad at all.

The service was fast as usual and definitely still one of the best bao in Melbourne with reasonable prices, lovely varieties and most importantly delicious taste.
