Tank Fish and Chippery has tag line of 'Seafood Cooked Passionately, Every time' which I think suits them perfectly. Bill Makris the owner of Tank Fish and Chippery try his best years after years to perfect his knowledge of fish and chippery. His aim is to create the freshest, tastiest fish and chip around with a reasonable prices.

I was pre book more than a month before the event for the event and Tank has been one of my favourite if not favourite fish and chippery in Melbourne. My husband is really keen to come to the event since he loves fish and chips as well as burger, and this event is all about launching their brand new limited edition 'Finding Nemo Burger'. The restaurant it self is clean, bright and white which I love. There's a modern vibe to it with a lil splash of dark blue on the wall and tables.

We started the event with the MasterClass. Bill explain a lil bit about his journey in opening and managing Tank, he clearly treasures his restaurant then he bring us to the open kitchen to watch the barramundi being fillet. None of us have an experience in filleting a fish so it's an interesting thing to watch. Then we move on to the second masterclass showing us how they made their beer batter.

It's only right we started the dinner with their mini version of signature Fish and Chips with Calamari. Just as usual it was amazing, the fish and chips was crunchy yet light and flavourful, chips was crispy and the calamari was soft and very well seasoned but the tartare sauce was a champion. The perfect combination of creaminess and sourness, just simply addictive.

For the main course we get to try the complete series of the 'Finding Nemo Burger', consist of 3 varieties of fish burger;  Squid ink battered barramundi served with slaw and mild Sriracha sauce, Grilled salmon served with lemon and dill mayo, mint, cucumber slaw and harissa mayo and Parmesan crumbed flathead fillet served with mint and cucumber slaw, harissa mayo. All burgers served with brioche squid ink bun. Most of agreed we love the barramundi burger the most and I do like the sweetness and softness from the bun it self with additional popping from the tobikko.

Bill saw us hanging around after the event and offer us more dishes. He served us some Dim Sim, Potato Cake and Chocolate Banana Springrolls. After that we are totally full.

The service was friendly and attentive, I enjoyed talking with Bill so much as well as the other bloggers attending the event. I brought home some fish and chips for my brother on my own expense and he loves them so does my mother. So it's a definite thing to say I'll be back for more of the fish and chips!
