Ora Speciality Coffee sin the title of the 'Best Food Cafe' in The Age Good Cafe Guide 2014. It's located far from the busy High Street eatery and had a calm, quiet vibe with plenty of parking space around. The cafe is petit with a wooden furnitures and minimal decoration but somehow I like it.

I was invited by Nikki from the Milk Bottles Project with several other bloggers to attend a tasting event at cafe Ora. We started our late lunch with some Coffee, Hot Chocolate, Fresh Orange Juice and Root Beer Float with Lemongrass and Rum. Their coffee was smooth with velvety texture using special blend from Proud Mary.

Our first course began with the sweet note. The Warm Bowl - whipped semolina porridge, salted oat crumble feijoa, rhubarb, poached cumquats ($15) & French Toast - sugared brioche, passionfruit curd, halva, honey ($18). Both dish are unique in taste, I can clearly sense the middle eastern twist in it. My mom did enjoyed both of it so much.

Then if you are more of a burger person, they served us Ora Biggie - scrambled sgg, bacon, onion jam, brown sauce and brioche roll ($12) & Ancho Pork & Slaw Bun - spiced mayo, carrot, red cabbage, kohlrabi ($18). I love the ancho pork so much, the slaw was tasty but the pork so tender and tasty, definitely one of my highlight.

They also have something delicious for the vegetarian; Shrooms on Toast - fricassee & mushroom duxelle, goats curd, artichoke mayo ($17) & Winter Salad - cauliflower florets, smoked activated almonds, baby tuscan leaves ($17). Well, all I have to say is if all vegetarian dishes are as fresh yet tasty and flavourful as this. I don't mind it at all.

Then the final round of savoury dish arrived and I have to say this round is the best of all;Duck & Pistachio Sausage - mushroom duxelle, browned butter emulsion, radish mayo, fried egg ($23), Claypot Eggs - cottechino sausage, bacon, charred onion rings, peas ($19) & Spiced Tiffin Egg - kipfler, kasundi, sumac & cumin yoghurt, charred spring onion dressing, cashew crumb ($18). These three dishes is heavy, rich and full of yummy flavourful. The scotch egg is one of the most popular dish at Ora and I can see why.

The last but not least, Dessert! We got Peanut Butter Cupcakes, Sticky Date Cupcakes, Brownies and Mandarin Cake. My favourite is the fluffy and fresh mandarin cake for sure.

The service was really warm, friendly and attentive. I did have a great time at Ora, lovely people with lovely food and would definitely recommended it to my friends.
