Cafe de Cuba for years but they remain up to date with their menu and presentations. It was one of the locals favourite and located in Elwood, a lovely warm neighbourhood. The cafe is reachable by car and there are plenty of parking space around.

It was Saturday morning which meant it's time to go for brunch and lucky me I was invited by Tori to Cafe de Cuba. The cafe it self was relatively small with a petit alfresco area in front of the cafe. There are plenty of natural lighting comes through the big window highlighting the mint wall and wooden furnitures.

They have a wide ranges of breakfast and lunch menu starting from the regular egg dish to pasta and salad. We asked Tori and she recommended the Scandinavian Egg - kipfler potatoes, caramelised onion, crispy bacon and 2 poached eggs ($18). This is my highlight of the meal, the potato was really soft and tasty mixed in with super tasty onion, seriously the onion is delicious in smell and taste. I just wish a lil bit more of bacon or maybe mixed in with chorizo then it will be perfect.

My husband is in the mood for seafood so he went for the Calamari Salad - Roquette, orange segments, goats cheese, fennel, crispy shallots with a Thai dressings ($19). This dish was well seasoned as well as refreshing and light.

The service was really friendly and warm, I truly enjoyed my time at Cafe de Cuba. The relaxing, warm and homey environment suites me well on a Saturday morning.  I will definitely be willing to come back for their Scandinavian Egg for sure!
