The Glass Merchant is located 5 minutes walk from the Balaclava station, there are also plenty of parking space around. They served breakfast and lunch with a classic variation theme and a little bit of healthy twist.

I was invited to the Glass Merchant and decide to come on a weekdays morning. The cafe is the combination between ec;ectic and industrial design. It has a combination of communal table, sofas and private seatings of 2-4. The spacious and airy space is perfect for a large group of people.

We started our brunch with their Skinny cappuccino ($3.8) using Illy coffee and a glass of fresh squeezed Orange Juice ($8) which was refreshing and sweet.

Green Scrambled Eggs - raw kale, spinach, fresh chilli served w/ confit cherry tomato, goats curd on mixed grain bread ($17). Unlike other cafes, their green eggs means scramble egg mixed with pieces of spinach and kale rather than literal green eggs.

King Smoked Salmon - heirloom beetroot, broccolini & goats curd on spelt grain bread w/ two poached eggs ($18.5). The dish was fresh and quite tasty.

Ricotta & Blueberry Hot Cakes - cinnamon mascarpone, fresh strawberries & house spiced maple syrup, saffron coconut & crushed pistachio ($16.5). Nothing like a sweet dish to close up our lunch!

Overall the service was friendly and attentive even on a weekdays which are highly appreciated. Glass Merchant also sells fresh honey which I really love and it gives an image of as a cafe they really appreciate fresh and healthy produce.
