Tanamera Coffee Roastery
When I was a kid, my closest Indonesian aunt used to live with us loves coffee so much. I started from tasting one table spoon of her coffee every now and then till I'm allowed to drink my own cup of coffee. Tanamera is one of the decent coffee shop in Jakarta and I have been wanting to visit it for a long time, somehow I always get distracted every time I'm in town. Finally, on my recent trip I visited Tanamera on the day same day I arrived in Jakarta.Tanamera is located near Grand Indonesia mall, the shop it self was petite with a small outdoor and indoor seatings on the first floor and a little bit more spacious indoor seatings on the third floor. It has a dim lighting with dark wood tables and chairs. The ambience was homey but it can't get a little bit crowded at times.
Let's get right down to the coffee, they use local beans and I love it cause they support local produces and helping Indonesian economy. They are using manual brewing process called Kalita Wave. Regarding their menu, they have limited range of coffee and food selections but mainly they focus on the quality of their coffee. I ordered Single origin Cappuccino (IDR 35k) and it was made properly on the right temperature, had a bitter aftertaste but overall it was a decent cup of coffee.
I also ordered Croissant Butter Pudding which turn out to be pretty good, it was crunchy and a bit flaky but still moist. They also sell other varieties of snacks and pastries.
