Eat A Scroll is the first Melbourne scroll and coffee boutique. They pride them self in using organic ingredients and each product freshly baked on the day. Eat a Scroll Bakehouse formerly known as Pop Up Scroll located in Smith St.

I was strolling to my Instagram and amaze by the delicious scrolls pictures presented by Eat A Scroll, lucky me Julian  (Ex owner Lip Cafe and chef) the owner Eat A Scroll kindly invited me in the very next day. The cafe it self was petit by very well decorated.

It was time for my second coffee around 3 pm on Sunday. I still got a long day ahead of me and coffee is a must. I ordered my regular skinny cappuccino and it taste really good.

Julian have prepared a box of assorted goodness for me. I got their main product, Scrolls; Cream Cheese (Original), Ferrero Rocher, Hummingbird (banana, pineapple, coconut). Each scroll is made with love and techniques Julian's learnt at his previous fine dining pastry training. All of them are chemical and additive free. My personal favourite remains their original scroll, fresh, aromatic, warm, fluffy with perfect sweetness.

They also ventured into Cruffins; Banana Cream Pie, Raspberry Cheesecake. Their cruffin was light, fluffy filled with oozy custard goodness. I tried their nutella cruffin before and I love them, I also like their Raspberry Cheesecake. A combination of rich, sour and buttery dough.

It was a cozy and warm place to hang out with great coffee as well as great pastry. The flavour combinations were well balanced, not overly sweet and the texture remain consistent. The service was also warm and very accommodating. This won't be my last time visiting Eat A Scroll for sure.
