Botherambo is heavily influenced by northern Thai food but also have some influences from Vietnam cuisines. I have been wanting to visit Botherambo since I met Kam McManamey at a cook off, he previously worked as Head Chef at Botherambo. Lucky me, Botherambo located near my office and I got a pretty relaxing Friday so I take a chance and decided to have lunch with my business partner. He is also a foodie so he's happy to accompany me. It was pretty quite on Friday lunch time but I suggest to come early for dinner since they did not accept any reservations.
The restaurant it self was separated into two areas, the bar and the restaurants. I personally love the vibe and the interior of the place, it's spacey with a splash of fresh green, naked brick walls, concrete floor amber lighting and dark wood.

Customised Fruity Mocktails ($12). As usual I requested for something fresh, fruity without any sodas and it comes out great but I do think the price are pretty high since my business partner order a glass of wine and it's cheaper than this.

Slipper Lobster Betel Leaf - pomelo, kaffir lime, chilli, coriander, crispy shallot ($6). It was an awesome start, fresh, light and subtle.

Crispy Pork Belly - sticky rice, nam jim sap, nam prik plaa ra, crispy shallots, lime ($16). The pork belly was cooked properly and love the pomelo on the salad.

Red Duck Leg - snake bean, young bamboo, kaffir lime, young coconut, lychee, thai basil ($29). Red duck curry is one of my business partner favourite food and this was a little bit disappointing for both of us. The spice was too subtle, it needed to be richer and heavily spiced. The duck it self was tender and I love the lychee on the curry.

The service was friendly and attentive through out our lunch. All the dishes was pretty good with the exception of the main dish. I would love to taste some of the other dish on my next visit.
