At the last Food Social event, I had a great time and had a little bit of chat with Pheh and we were talking for a possible collaborations in the future.
I was invited by Pheh to Food Social Global Feast F: France Feast to become their official Photographer of the night. They are doing event to celebrate various culinary in the world from A-Z. French Feast was held in the collaboration with The French Brasserie. The restaurant was elegant, romantic and classy. The event held on their second floor as a private party.

We were greeted by a warm and friendly staff from French Brasserie with a lovely glass of Kir Royal. Pheh was busy sorting the registration and Food Social passport. We start with Gougeres basically a puff pastry with cheese inside it. I love it so much, it was crunchy outside but soft moist and cheesy inside.

Pheh opened up the event with a little speech from her and Head Chef Edouard Deplus from French Brasserie then a little toast at the end.

Then comes our three shared mains: Beef Bourguignon - braised beef short ribs, mash potato, classic garnish. The beef was super tender and rich, this is definitely the favourite dish of the night.

Canard a l'orange - whole roasted duck, orange glazed, baby turnips. The duck was well seasoned and served with bones. The wings part was a little bit hard to cut but the breast was tender.

Flounder Grenobloise - whole roasted flounder, brown butter, Grenobloise condiments. The fish was fresh and light, I love it.

The main also comes with three sides: Petit pois a la francaise, Gratin Dauphinos and Salade verte. My favourite was their gratin dauphinos, it was super creamy and rich.

People were anxious for the desserts which was Fondue au chocolat. The fondue was served with various fruits such as mango, strawberry, apple, raspberry and more. The rich dark chocolate just perfect contrast with the acidity, sweet and sour fruits.

Pheh created a quiz games with French theme and the winner got a bottle of wine each, it was a fun game and everyone seems to enjoyed it.

It was a great success, everybody was happy and beyond full. The next event is Food Social Seven Sins of Chocolate Tasting with Mamor Chocolates & High Tea Szalon at 16th April.
