Stop 17 is a brand new cafe located in Fitzroy. They served the complete meal packages; breakfast, lunch and dinner.

I was invited by Tyler, Ryan and the rest of Shop 17 team to visit their brand new cafe just a couple blocks from Gelato Messina, Fitzroy. The two storey cafe decorated in a Santorini Blue hue that makes the places pops up with simple but charming wall art and paintings on the first floor. The second floor is the Australi's first "Writer's Room". A room dedicated to authors, screenwriters and directors. The room features works by local artist based in Fitzroy featuring caricatures of famous writers such as Stephen King, Quentin Tarantino and many more. Each table on writers room is open for writer's endorsement in return their face will be painted on the the table.

Coffee by Phoenix coffee, honestly it was a bit too bitter and too watery for me but their Chai Latte and Fresh orange juice was enjoyable.

Krabby Eggs - Blue swimmer crab sautéed with garlic, ginger, shallots, red chilli and curry scrambled eggs. Lightly seasoned with sesame salt ($21). This is one of their speciality dish and it was delicious. The scrambled eggs was perfectly cooked and the curry flavour give the classic scrambled egg a little bit more punch in flavour.

Pan Seared Calamari - Seasoned black volcanic salt and ground pepper, mixed salad tartare sauce and a lemon wedge ($19.5). The calamari is perfectly cooked and they explained to me they only fried one sight of the calamari to maintain the crispiness and tenderness.

Overall, I had a great time and loving the blue brick walls. The service was good as well as their food but they do have various competitors on the area. I certainly will be back when all the art is complete.
