Babi Guling (suckling pig) is one of the must try traditional dish when you're in Bali.
 It's pig stuffed with mixture of herbs and spices then spit roasted. Pak Malen is one of the popular babi guling in Bali because of strategist locations at Sunset Road, Seminyak around 15-20 minutes from the airport.

They restaurant was quite spacey but it's better for you to come early cause there will be people waiting in lines and once they sold out, that's it you have to wait for another day. There are two types os selections; complete (IDR 25k) and special (IDR 45k). The differences between the two is the amount of meats and condiments.


My whole family opted for the special packages. A small bowl of soup contain a small spare ribs and a plate of rice with slices of meat, crackling, a tendon puff, pork satay, crunchy pork, sambal and assorted vegetables. Warning, the whole dish are generally spicy. I honestly love the pork meat with the sambal it was just mouthwatering.

We order extra pork crackling just because it was so delicious and we want more of them while we are in Bali.

I recommend Pak Malen if you only have such a short time in Bali and don't have time to travel further to try Pak Chandra or Pak Dobiel but Pak Malen do have something that makes me want to come back. It's their pork crackling.
