Oscar Cooper

Oscar Cooper is an iconic medium size cafe at the eclectic Greville St and it was named after the owner's dog. It has an outdoor and indoor space with open Scandinavian design. Exposed red brick wall, fire place, modern floral art, concrete floor and bench top creates a warm but lively vibe. If you can't get a table inside, sitting outside is not bad at all as it's heated in winter and they had umbrellas as well for summer days.

From what I can see, the menu was modern Australian with some Asian, Mexican, Italian influence. I have been here a couple times and my favourite was the Breakfast Burrito on a flour tortilla with berkshire bacon, fried egg, avocado, cheese, spicy tomato salsa ($15). It was just delicious and this is where I go to satisfy my breakfast burrito cravings.

Spice napoli baked eggs, grilled zucchini, Spanish onion, corn served with ciabattas ($16). It taste good with generous sauce and punching flavours.

Coffee arrived quickly and in good temperature. It was smooth, soft with notes of vanilla. I enjoyed it so much.

Living and eating healthy has been in trend for the last years and I decided to follow the crowd every now and then. Purple Sunrise - carrot, celery, beetroot, orange, ginger ($5) was enjoyable despite my dislike for beetroot. Golden Pash - pineapple, orange, passionfruit, orange ($5) was the perfect mixed of sweet, sour and it's very refreshing.

It was a pleasantly satisfying visit, good food, good coffee and it's official it will not be my last visit to Oscar Cooper.
