Industry Beans is a highly popular brunch spot in Melbourne. In 2014, Industry Beans won the top design award for their cafe interior design and their smashed avocado also featured in lonely planet's book of world's best brunches. The warehouse has concrete floors, wood tables, roasting facilities and open bar where you can see the magic begins. Industry Beans is a huge place and able to accommodate large group of people. They have two separate areas, indoor and semi outdoor. I personally love the semi outdoor area. It was decorated with bricks, plants with shades and big window to enjoy the wonderful weather.

Industry Beans are speciality roasters, they are famous for making their own coffee. If you grab a table at the very back of cafe you'll be able to watch how the coffee is roasted. Industry Beans coffee menu is educating customers on various techniques and flavours of coffee available. Numerous brewing methods are available such as poir over, Aeropress, v60, cold drip and espresso based coffee.

The coffee is strong, vibrant and smooth, a well made cup of coffee as expected. As well as their Pour over and Ice mocha. The ice mocha comes with two small beakers, one fill in with coffee and the other one is chocolate.

Rosewater Compressed Watermelon - passionfruit panna cotta, chia seeds granola, rose water and rhubarb ($17). This is my second favourite dish at Industry beans. It has a sweet and sour components as well as crispy and smooth textures. The passionfruit panna cotta is a bit too sour but when you eat it with the granola and super refreshing compressed watermelon, it just make senses.

Wild Mushrooms - truffle foam, porcini powder, snow pea tendrils, polenta chips and a poached egg ($22). The chips were crunchy, well made eggs mixed with mushroom and truffle foam just perfectly partnered.

Cured Salmon - fennel avocado mousse, kaffir lime jelly, tea marbled egg and crispy quinoa ($22). This is my number one favourite dish at Industry Beans. It was meant for a shared plates but I wouldn't mind to eat this all by my self. The salmon was cured perfectly, sour fennel avocado mouse and kaffir lime jelly with unique tea marbled egg (I wish they served more of this on the plate).

Coffee Garden - coffee custard pudding, coffee caviar, cold drip gel, chocolate soil, pistachio sponge and tulle ($14). It was very well presented, colourful, inviting. The coffee pudding had the same coffee bitterness as well as the cold drip coffee caviar mixed with crumbly pistachio sponge. In my opinion, it was too bitter for dessert.

On weekends they are always busy, come on weekdays to avoid the crowd. All the staff are pretty knowledgable regarding coffee and their food, most of them are happy to explain things to you. This is not my first time visiting Industry Beans and certainly not the last time.
