Hercules Morse is an intimate, romantic restaurant and bar. The restaurant was design for 2-4pp at best, they have indoor and outdoor area. Indoor most of them are intimate seats, there are one long seats at the back and the table potentially could be combine into one (approximately for 8pp). Both bar menu or bigger bites for lunch or dinner are design to share with a friend. Hercules Morse as a bar it's perfect for an after work drinks or lazy Sunday afternoon with friends.

We start with cauliflower & cheese balls with lemon-rosemary salt+a dijon dipping mayo ($8.5). They are perfect for cheese lovers. Crunchy on he outside and soft on the inside, the cauliflower provide balanced to the strong flavoured cheese and the dipping just perfect for the dish.

House made charcuterie of the day ($16.5). This dish was surprisingly good. It was light and the tomato relish was sweet and refreshing.

Seared scallops & crispy pork hock on celeriac puree with green apple gel ($18). The scallop was a bit over cooked but still nice. The crispy pork add a crunchiness to the dish and the celeriac puree with green apple gel add some flavours and sweetness to the scallop.

I originally wanted to try the black angus carpaccio but that day they decided to change it to steak tartare and I have to say I'm not disappointed at all. The meat it self was juicy, full of flavours, fresh and light.

Salted peanut butter parfait, bruleed banana+butterscotch sauce ($13) was another delicious dessert. Parfait is a rich cold dessert made with whipped cream and other flavoursome ingredients. It was soft, creamy with subtle salted peanut butter flavoured and the butterscotch sauce was amazing.

Overall it was a good dinner from the start to the very end. Reservations is definitely recommended especially for a large group. The staff was friendly, enthusiastic but I think they needed more staff cause it's hard to get anything for our table such as a refill.
