Baker D Chirico

Baker D Chirico is instantly recognisable by the appearance of chic, modern and well decorated store. It's a modern french bakery that sells a lot variety of sweet and savoury pastries. They also sell pretty good granola and muesli. The original store is at Fitzroy but the Carlton branch is just as appealing.

They are famous for the whole wheat bread, it has everybody raving ,lining and crawling to their store for more.

The vanilla bean donut was pretty nice with generous vanilla bean fillings, it has a very nice vanilla smell. It was sweet but not too sweet with fluffy donut textures.

Mushroom brioche was pretty small and thin but the brioche it self was really tasty and with the mushroom it's even better.

This green little ball is a pistachio ball was one of my favourite, it was really a ball full of pistachios. It taste good, thick and you can really taste pistachio in it.

The plain quince looks great with the golden crust but to me it was pretty average, there is nothing really special to it as well as the egg custard.

Canele is a small French pastry with a soft and tender custard centre with a dark thick caramelised crust. This was another winner from baker d chirico, it smells so good and taste pretty good too. It was sticky and sweet.

There are usually only one or two staff guarding the store and beware of their pretty pastries display, you might want to buy them all!
