I was in on my way to Miyako when a cute cupcakes store caught my attentions. It was Joy Cupcakes and it emphasizes on using natural ingredients and no artificial colourings. They also have at least 2 gluten free choices and 2 vegan choices everyday. Another good thing is all the cupcakes are $4 each.

Salted Caramel flavour was a classic and popular flavour these days and I have to say they nailed it. The cake it self was moist and the frosting was smooth with chunks of caramels.

The frosting on Lemon Meringue cupcakes was really smooth and enjoyable but the cake it self was a bit dry compared to the others.

Dark Chocolate is another classic flavour and there is a tough market out there. Joy Cupcake Dark Chocolate flavour was good but I have tasted better.

Strawberry Shortcake is one of my favourite. The icing was light, creamy and have a sweet sour flavour from real strawberries.

Sticky Date was the best out of all. The cake was soft, sticky and tasted just like butterscotch dates.  Vanilla mandarin cream was smooth, zesty and blend together with the cake.

Polenta, Orange & Popcorn. This cupcakes is vegan, I know how hard it is for bakery to make GF and vegan cupcakes taste good. Sadly, this one taste a bit blend to me.

They have small cafe on the sides and serves coffee and tea. On the wall there are a bunch of cupcakes boxes uses as a unique wall art, fittingly for Joy Cupcakes.
