The Little Royal

The Little Royal is a small macarons shop located in the same lane as Koko Black Bourke St. This cute little shop has a classic, high end vibe to it. They have numerous pretty and charming displays of their macarons, macarons tower and their unique packaging. There are usually one or two staff in the shop

I decided to try their chocolate pastry choux and it taste good, a lil bit soggy but very generous and creamy fillings. The green tea and raspberry macaron was well made, not too sweet and there's a refreshing sour finish.

The big let down was the staff. It was around 11am on weekdays and there is only one staff. She was busy on the phone with someone, certainly not an important call cause she was clearly gossiping. There was one another person in front of me waiting to order and she did not hang up the phone while serving, so we can hear all the stories. When it's my turn she is getting impatient and tell the person on the other line of the phone that I haven't made up my mine yet with a rude tone.

The packaging was sloppy cause she did it quickly. I expect a lot more from expensive french dessert shop.
