Duchess of Spotswood

Duchess of Spotswood certainly the most famous brunch place in Spotswood. They are very busy but their service remain fast and attentive. The let down was they are rushing us out as soon as we are finish. Every time they see something almost empty they want to take it from our table, almost feels like eating at some cheap restaurant in china town.

Their ham and cheese croquettes really nice, tasty and just melt in your mouth. The salsa was really good, not too sour and felt fresh.

The Duchess of Pork - crispy pig's jowl, fried eggs, truffle & Madeira sauce with zeally bay toast ($21.5). To be honest the whole thing taste just average for me and it has a really strong pig smell.  They offers a lot of pork in the menu, pig ears is one of them. Their scotch egg are good but very pricey.

What I love about this restaurant is their cronuts! Their cronuts is the best cronut I have eaten in Melbourne by far. Not too oily, very crunchy and their vanilla custard filling are amazing. Top with toffee popcorn and caramel. Phenomenal! Definitely coming back for more! I bring some home and carry them all day and they are still remain the same! Not turn oily and lose their crunchiness like some other cronut.

They served pretty good coffee. The place has a rustic shabby vibe and not that big and have limited space from table to table. They have a small kitchen besides the dining area, so we can see how well and fast they work in the kitchen. Their portions are really small for their prices.
