Agathé Patisserie

My current obsessions! Love it so much! Their pastry are delicious! Definitely one of the best bakery in Melbourne by far.

I tried the croissant and the texture of the bread was crunchy, warm, soft, buttery and tasty. The plain croissant was great, have a very high quality to it. The Juliette almond croissant - rose, almond and raspberry; they tasted beyond amazing. The texture of the bread as beautiful as the plain croissant, the fillings was so smooth and nice with a refreshing a bit sweet and sour raspberry and the rose have a luxurious, sweet smell to the croissant.

The normal almond croissant also really good, really crunchy inside and the middle was full of almond custard as well. Love it. Agathé Patisserie not only good for sweets cause their croque monsieur was the best I ever had in Melbourne by far. The bread texture was the same with the croissant but the fillings was amazing, they put special sauces inside that melts in your mouth. Can't stop eating this! It's addictive!

Their raspberry apple crumble also amazing, the texture of the bread not as good as the croissant but still great but the filling was delicious. The apple braised with some kind of liquor I guess and raspberry mixed very well with apple and it melts in your mouth with every bite.

The green tea and red bean croissant is one of the classic flavours of Japan and they made it quite good, the colour of the inside was dark green. Comparing with the other croissant this croissant is a bit more dry than the others.

Pandan croissant was sweet and light, the colour of the inside was light green. I feel it needed more pandan flavours and pandan have a very strong identical smell but I did not smell that in this croissant.

The pistachios croissant have real pistachio filling in it and you can really taste the pistachio nut. This is a perfect croissant for the pistachio lovers. The inside of the croissant is white and green. I'm so excited to see all the colours inside, so pretty and photogenic.

They also have black pearl which is a black croissant, coloured with squid ink, flavoured by black cumin. Personally I don't really like the taste but the texture of the pastry remain beautiful.

This is another fantastic colour croissant and it's pink. Their blackcurrant croissant is light, refreshing, sweet and sour taste from the blackcurrant clearly shines.

The chocolate chip croissant is really good with generous chocolate chips and it has vanilla custard in it to balanced the bitter and strong chocolate flavours. This croissant compare to others was a little bit more oily.

The caramel almond croissant was sticky, sweet with generous fillings but not too sweet and the almond was crunchy.

Coffee croissant was as beautifully made as the other croissants and I love coffee so it's a perfect flavours for me.

The creme brûlée pastry was soft and fluffy inside, the texture almost like Japanese cheese cake. It has the same pastry as the raspberry apple crumble.

They also sell canele which is a classic French pastry and again they make it so warm, sweet dark caramelised crust on the outside and moist inside.

The cruffin was amazing, the texture was closer to croissant than muffin which I love so much. The nutella fillings was beyond generous, perfect for nutella lovers. The salted caramel was amazing. The caramel was not to sweet combined with vanilla custard that lighten the flavours up. It was so good!

So far for me the best is the Juliette croissant and the salted caramel cruffin. The smells of all of their pastry was so good, even when I re enter my car where I put the pastry. We can re smell it all over again. All of their pastry looks so good and appealing. Their portions are big but it's a bit pricey but for the taste they offer, I don't mind at all! Would eat this every week! I want to try every flavour of their croissant, cruffin and brioche! The thing is they sold out so fast and only open 2 days in Prahran market, 4 days in South Melbourne market. So it's very hard for me to try all flavours. They should begin to make a label for their take away box and plastics bag.
