Dex2rose Nitrogen Gelato is probably the third nitrogen gelato place decides to invade Melbourne. Dex2Rose a wordplay on "dextrose", the dextrorotatory from glucose with the alphabet "t" replaced by 2  to represent liquid Nitrogen (LN2). This shop is own by Jesse, He is a very passionate man about his job. He clearly loves what he does and takes everything very seriously. Jesse trained with one of the best Gelato Messina - Nick Palumbo

The famous Mist in The Woods - The set consists of rosewater scented nitro smoke, decadent hot chocolate, semi frozen raspberry drupelets, smooth salted caramel gelato, and house made marshmallows that you can toast yourself with the mini fire they provided with the set ($15). This has proven how much though Jesse put in his product, The bitter sweet of the chocolate with sour cold raspberry, sticky sweet caramel gelato and love the homemade marshmallow and somehow the scent from the rose water enhanced the whole experience. This set definitely have drama, whimsical and romance vibe to it. You probably want to share this with someone because it's a lot for one person and it could be a romantic date experience as well.

The Nitro brew coffee was a new inventions of Jesse, it has a lil bit chocolate in it and milk. It was so smooth and have certain fluffiness to it. It's a good way to drink coffee in the summer even though I don't mind drinking this on winter.

All of their gelato comes in small or regular size and it's cheaper than most nitrogen gelato around. The "Not Your Granny's Apple Pie" has been one of the most popular flavour since they open around seven months a go. Chunky apples churned with beautifully made vanilla gelato, served in a cup with warm homemade caramelised apple chunks, cream, lightly dusted cinnamon sugar and cone on top of it. Perfect way to served deconstructed apple pie.

The new mango with chilli gelato (dairy free) surprisingly taste like Indonesian traditional food called "rujak" it consist of numerous fruits and we eat them with chilli salt, sometimes with a blend of chilli, peanuts and other spices.

The classic flavour such as cookie dookie and rum and raizin are not bad at all too but I think I like more rum on the rum and raizin.

The last but not the least was their matcha latte, I love it. Not too sweet but also not too bitter, perfect fluffy milk.

There are tables for small groups, a lounge area, bar stools and a communal table. There are some crates outside as well. They open at noon but open till at least 10pm. On weekdays most of the places except fast food closed by around 9pm, this make this place a perfect places to hang out late at night or after dinner dessert.

This is an addition to the post, recently I revisited Dex2Rose and they have a new ranges of flavour. Thai Milk Tea gelato.

This one I have seen on Instagram it's called Cinema Experience. It has chocolate gelato, gummy bears, pop corn and cotton candy in it.
